New treatment for Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) is the main cause of visual loss in persons over 50. Currently, eye injections are the main treatment. While safe, these injections must be given monthly in most cases for years, and can stop working in some people, leading to loss of vision. Dr. Luttrull has recently discovered a new and safe new treatment that may reduce the need for eye injections by improving their effectiveness. He will be presenting his research this year at major medical meetings in the US and Europe, and publishing it in a major medical journal as well.
